Claire Scott is a contemporary British painter who was born in Shropshire in 1971.
She studied at the University of Central England (Margaret Street) in 1994 where she earned her BA. She then taught before completing an MA in Fine Art at Aberystwyth University in 2019.
Working outdoors is the foundation of Claire’s practice. In her studio, she explores landscape as a metaphor, often drawing on ideas found in text and poetry.
Claire lives in mid-Wales and works from her studio at Aberhafesp.
